Cadburys investigates pig feed claim

by FWi staff

CADBURYS is investigating claims that chocolate destined for pig feed has been melted down into new products for sale for human consumption.

The probe was announced after the Sunday Mirror claimed bars labelled unfit for human consumption were being reused by a Cadburys contractor.

Chocolate which is past its sell-by date is reprocessed for pig feed after being sent to long-standing contractor R and JB Higgins, near Kidderminster.

The company denied the claims.
