Cat farm protesters arrested

POLICE arrested 33 animal rights protesters at a demonstration against Hill Grove Farm, Oxfordshire, where cats are bred for pharmaceutical research, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The Independent says 10 were arrested and The Guardian said more than 30 were arrested.

Owner Christopher Brown tried to keep the protesters out by piling manure alongside the perimeter fence.

Demonstration organiser Greg Jennings said the protests would continue until the farm was closed down.
