Caught in a tight spot

DANGER lurks for those who have to work in confined spaces such as tanks, vats, grain silos or sewers.

It is a point not lost on the Health and Safety Executive which has now introduced an 11-page leaflet which gives guidance on the dangers of working in confined spaces. Information is also provided on employers responsibility to meet the new Confined Spaces Regulations 1997.
