CELEBRATEJUBILEE, PLEASE

WANT to help the Queen celebrate her Golden Jubilee? Then why not contribute to a national chain of beacons to be lit across the country on Mon, Jun 3?

The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution is inviting farmers and their families to pay tribute to the Queen by lighting a fire on their farms on that special day. "The aim is to allow farmers to make a unique contribution to the celebrations by providing a

significant number of beacons that will be lit up and down the country," said Lord Plumb, RABI president.

To qualify beacons do not need to be large or even open to the public; a simple family barbeque will do, according to RABI. Simply register your intention to support the event with the institution before the end of this month. In return, each farming beacon will be recorded for posterity in an attachment to the official Golden Jubilee Summer Party Souvenir magazine. For more information telephone RABI on 01865-724931.
