Cleavers mix on way

BAYER plans to launch a potato product based on metribuzin (as in Sencorex) and new active ingredient flufenacet. The pre-emergence mix gave up to 95% control of cleavers in UK trials, and useful suppression of various grassweeds, particularly couch, says trials manager, Nigel Adam. Approval is hoped to be in time for a spring 2001 launch.
