Man charged over Claas tractor theft

A man has been charged in connection with the theft of a Claas tractor worth about £30,000 from a Lincolnshire farm.

John George Devlin, 38, of Stow Lane, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, was arrested over the theft of the tractor from Nene Potatoes of Grange Farm, Whaplode St Catherine, last Wednesday (9 October).

The stolen tractor was recovered in Holbeach in the Lincolnshire Fens on Thursday (10 October).

Police later charged Mr Devlin with handling stolen goods and driving while disqualified. He was bailed to appear before Spalding Magistrates’ Court on 31 October.
