Cuba attacks lifting of US sanctions


CUBA has attacked a US decision to partially lift some economic sanctions against the island

The Government in Havana claims the US moves are intended to undermine communist rule in Cuba.

President Bill Clinton announced last week proposed the sale of US food to non-Government bodies in Cuba, including religious groups and the fledgling private sector.
