Dalgety sells Wrexham feed mill

DALGETY has sold its pig and poultry compound feed mill at Wrexham for an undisclosed sum to Lloyds Animal Feeds (Western) Ltd, an independent feed compounder operating in Shropshire.
The sale was part of the final phase of Dalgety Groups decision to exit the feed manufacturing business, announced earlier this autumn.
The transfer includes the 130,000t/year capacity mill, established in the mid-1980s by Oldacres.
All 30 staff have been transferred with the business.
Pig and poultry producers in the mills trading area have been told it will be business as usual, with compound feeds and concentrates continuing to be available from the new owners.
