DEFRA revamps its BSE website

DEFRA HAS revamped its BSE website because it says some of the information that was on it is out of date and little used.

The government has decided to rationalise the site and make archived information available on request.

A statement said the site had been in existence since 1996 and much of the information on it had become outdated.

“The information it contains has been rationalised, links have been made more straightforward, and a site directory has been added.

“Data which is now available on other departments‘ and agencies‘ sites has been removed from the DEFRA BSE site and instead links have been provided to those sites.”

DEFRA has said it would welcome feedback – both positive and negative – on the style and content of the new site.
