Demount sprayer said to be largest available

LANDQUIP has produced a 28m boom demount sprayer, which it claims is the largest available to fit the Unimog Forward Control L-Trac.

Weighing a relatively economic 5.2t, the combination uses aluminium booms supported by a central pivot and suspension unit.

The sprayer comprises a 2500-litre tank and features pneumatically controlled Pozi-flow nozzles, which can also be used for liquid fertiliser application.

The Pozi-flow system has been designed to ensure chemicals remain properly mixed throughout the spray lines and Landquip claims sprayline purging is no longer necessary using the Pozi-flow system due to the pipes being charged with chemical whenever the pump is running.

Two tank wash heads are included in the sprayers specification, as is a 250-litre clean water tank, stainless steel chemical inductor bowl and an electronic application rate spray control system.

Sprayer demounting and attachment is performed using four jacks – an operation claimed to take one man 10 minutes to complete.

Price for a 24m version complete with in-cab electronics and electro-hydraulic booms, starts at £64,000. &#42
