Dont stint when cleaning tanks
TANK cleaning and general sprayer hygiene is vital to prevent costly crop damage when switching between broadleaved weed sulfonylurea herbicides and other products, warns Du Pont.
"Always follow label recommendations and sprayer cleaning procedures and include a tank cleaner for removing chemical residues including sulfonylureas left in the tank, boom pipes and nozzles, as well as on the outside of the sprayer," says herbicide manager Neil Morey.
New groundwater regulations mean spray washings containing Du Ponts All Clear Extra tank cleaner can be sprayed back onto treated crop without authorisation, he adds. *
