Drop the link, FFA tells neo-Nazis

By FWi staff

FARMERS for Action (FFA) has asked the neo-Nazi British National Party to remove a link from its website which takes people straight to the FFA homepage.

A statement on FFAs own site said it had come to FFAs attention that link had been set up by the extremist BNP.

“Please be assured that Farmers for Action have no connection whatsoever with these people or their politics and we have asked that they immediately delete us from their site,” it reads.

The FFA has found itself subject of the attentions of the racist party at a unfortunate time.

According to press reports today, Home office and Downing Street officials are out to discredit FFA chairman David Hanley, who is also a key fuel protester.

The incident also comes only days after it emerged that special branch officers had been infiltrating fuel protest meetings to uncover any links to extremist groups.

Farmers and hauliers have always stressed they want no links with the racist group.

But the government has been concerned by reports that BNP members have been told to become “heavily involved” in any future fuel tax protests.
