Eartags that keep bugs off your cattle
AVOID additional ear piercing of cattle using a new design of insecticidal eartag launched by Virbac.
Auriplak eartags, which are said to protect cattle and calves against nuisance and biting flies for up to five months, can now be attached to existing primary identification tags without the need for further tagging.
The insecticidal tag is looped over an arrow-shaped device which can be attached when animals are first tagged or fitted to existing tags on mature animals, says the company.
Auriplak tags are supplied in boxes of 20, together with attachment arrows costing £45/box (01359-243243, fax 01359-243200). *
