Ethiopia faces new famine threat


FEARS are growing that Ethiopia faces a new famine, with its harvest the worst they have been since 1991, according to senior officials of the Relief Society of Tigray.


The crisis is a reminder of how little agricultural irrigation there is and
how much the population relies on rain.
