EU Rapeseed Crop As Low As 9.4M Tonnes? – HGCA

Dry spring months followed by wet harvest conditions have reduced yield potential for the German and French crop this year.

Consequently crops were revised further downwards last week, with France likely to produce far less than 4 million (4.5m in 1999), and Germanys crop expected to fall to a low of 3-3.3m tonnes (4.3m in 1999).

In the UK, where about 30% of the crop has been harvested, crop reports confirm variable and mostly lower yields than last year.
