Express Dairies to close in Salisbury

EXPRESS DAIRIES is closing its Salisbury dairy, acquired this summer, with the loss of 900 jobs.

The dairy produces milk in cartons and plastic bottles, mainly for multiple retailers and was part of the UK liquid milk operations of Glanbia, the food and dairy group.

The dairy is expected to close by mid-December, with jobs lost in production and distribution. Production will be transferred to dairies in Ruislip in West London and Sheffield Park, Sussex.
