A GROUP of 27 north-east milk producers have given three months notice to Express Dairies.
From spring onwards the farmers – members of the Durham branch of the Waterford Farmers Association – will be sending about 25 million litres to Scottish Milk.
This follows a similar move by the Cheshire WFA branch, whose members resigned from Express Dairies in November.
Northumberland WFA branch delegate, Robert Graham, from Wylam Hills Farm, Tyne Valley, said he and his members were thoroughly disillusioned.
