Falcons wet enough, OK

ADVICE from some adjuvant manufacturers to use a wetter with grass weed-killer Falcon (propaquizafop) is misleading and does nothing to improve efficacy, according to maker Cyanamid.

"It would appear that some manufacturers are promoting their particular wetter for use with Falcon without evaluating the possible adverse effects that different combinations may have," says the companys Rob King.

The product contains its own wetter. Cyanamids efficacy data shows no improvement when extra is added, even down to 25% of recommended rate, he maintains. "It represents an unnecessary cost and could even be of detriment to the crop."n
