LOVE it or loathe it, the k takes a big step forward in January when notes and coins become the currency of Euroland. How will that effect the profitability of UK agriculture and its ancillary industries? Would British farmers, and their suppliers, be better or worse off if they chose to buy and sell in ks? Would Britain benefit from joining the k-zone?
To answer those controversial questions the South of England Agricultural Society, in conjunction with farmers weekly and HSBC Bank, is hosting a Euro Breakfast at the South of England Centre, Ardingly, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, on Tue, Nov 6, at 8am. So, if you have strong views about the subject or simply would like more information about the complicated issues involved, why not make a date in your diary? It will cost nothing to attend, but there will be a wealth of valuable information on offer.
