Farmer Forums again

FREE Farmer Forum sessions, organised by FW and sponsored by Schering-Plough Animal Health, will be a key feature of the Winter Fair, held at Lichfield Auction Centre on Dec 2.

This is your opportunity to chart the progress of successful producers and to ensure that you manage your business to share their success. What can producers do to add value to cattle and sheep? Does producing quality beef and lamb really pay? How is quality judged and valued by the customer?

Can buyers be made to recognise the true cost of quality British beef and lamb?

Those questions and many more will be tackled by a panel of three speakers renowned for their hard-hitting, down-to-earth views about the quality meat sector.

Robert Forster is the outspoken chief executive of the National Beef Association. John Thorley, chief executive of the National Sheep Association, speaks equally forcefully on behalf of the sheep sector. A major supermarket will put the quality retailers point of view. Session chairman is John Lowe, of Schering-Plough.

Farmers, and all sides of the industry, will have plenty of opportunity to voice their views on the important topics under discussion. So dont miss the chance to have your say.

The first Farmer Forum will begin at 12.30pm, in the cattle ring.

ring. It will be repeated in a second session starting at 1.30pm.
