Farmers Fresh in French export deal

MORE lamb will be exported to France from the UK under a new deal between Farmers Fresh and Ovimpex, the wholesale supplier to many continental supermarkets.
The Ovimpex group buys meat for supermarkets across France, and the contractual arrangements will open new markets for many UK producers, claims Farmers Fresh.
Focus on delivering to customer requirements is not rocket science, says Farmers Fresh chief executive, David Owen.
“But for too long we in the UK have not paid close enough attention to the detail.”
The new deal is the first announcement made by Farmers Fresh which was recently launched in Paris as a sister company to Farmers Ferry.
The group is developing partnerships across Europe in an initiative to fins outlets for British sheepmeat products.
“Securing new trading opportunities, like the arrangements with Ovimpex, is a very promising site,” says Mr Owen.
