The Daily Telegraph today continues its analysis of the crisis which has engulfed UK farmers.

The only farmers not in recession are organic farmers who are being actively courted by the supermarkets, writes environment editor Charles Glover.

Mr Glover also analyses todays report by the Council for the Protection of Rural England which claims family farms are being driven out of business by supermarkets.

Meanwhile, Philip Johnston, home affairs editor, reports on the gap between the price farmers are paid for livestock and the cost of meat on supermarket shelves.
