Farming women `break macho culture

The Guardian has chosen World Rural Womens Day to argue that farming needs “feminising” in order to change its macho culture.
The exploits of moaning male farmers has succeeded in damaging public support for farmers during the current agricultural crisis, the paper argues.
Helen Browning, chairwoman of the pro-organic Soil Association, is quoted as saying “Agricultures become just a big boys game.”
