Fly spray friendly for food handling

KNOCK DOWN flies rapidly around the farm, including food handling areas, with Flyclear Bio, says manufacturer Battle, Hayward and Bower.

Flyclear Bio contains a combination of synthetic pyrethroids similar to those found in natural pyrethrum extract, and low concentrations are effective against flying insects, it adds.

It is supplied as a ready-to-use spray which has a non-persistent nature, making it suitable for use in food processing areas, says the company. The product is also said to be effective against crawling insects.

A 4.5-litre can, to which a suitable handy trigger spray can be fitted, retails at about £20 (01522-529206, fax 01522-538960).
