This years UK summer show season may have been all but obliterated, but we are pleased to report that the farmers weekly 4×4 & Country Car Show is going ahead in style – with suitable foot-and-mouth precautions.
The venue is the same as in previous years, Grimsthorpe Castle, a historic farming estate set in a beautiful, hidden part of Lincs.
Theres everything here for those interested in 4×4 vehicles, whether its because youre contemplating a purchase and want to see whats available. Or, indeed, because youre simply a four-wheel drive enthusiast. Two test tracks, one tough, the other slightly less so, will give you a chance to test ride models from most makers and static stands will give you a chance to talk to the manufacturer or dealer at length.
And dont think this is merely a day for car nuts. There will be a range of country sports on show, an ATV track, specialist food marquee and fashion show. Children can entertain themselves in the adventure playground, visitors can go round Grimsthorpe Castle itself and there will be a range of enticing refreshments available.
So heres a chance to forget about the trials and tribulations of farming for a few hours and enjoy a pleasurable day out.
Opening times: 9am to 5pm
Cost: On the gate: adults: £8, children 3-13 and senior citizens: £4, family (2adults + 2 children): £22.
In advance: adults: £7, children 3-13 and senior citizens: £3.50, family (2adults + 2 children): £20.
