By FWi staff
GERMANY has warned the public not to eat products containing meat from the backbone of cattle slaughtered before 01 October, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Health minister Andrea Fischer said this was a precautionary step to eliminate every real risk of BSE.
Companies using meat from cattle spines, in some cooked sausages, were urged to withdraw their products.
