Glowing plastic a spot in the dark

TRYING to find equipment or livestock in the dark without the aid of a torch or lighting can sometimes be a frustrating affair.

A plastic which can glow by itself for up to 12 hours during the night has now been developed by Douglas Baker Plastics. Glowing by itself without reflection, says the company, is an ideal means of identification for safety clothing, helmets, and warning signs.

Another important application of the Baker Glow plastic could be identification tags for livestock enabling them to be easily spotted in dark conditions.

Douglas Baker is looking for interested agricultural equipment suppliers wishing to help develop the product. For further information contact (01902-353800).
