GM protesters out
SIX demonstrators who allegedly broke into Wales only genetically modified trial site were released by police at the weekend.
They had been held on suspicion of aggravated trespass in a field of GM fodder maize near Sealand, Flintshire, north Wales, farmed by John Cottle. More than 40 people broke off from a rally on Saturday (July 14) and trampled over a field.
Welsh MEP Jill Evans, who addressed the rally, claimed security guards injured one of the activists. *
