Good trade for Highland bulls

Good trade for Highland bulls

SENIOR bulls sold well at the autumn sale of Highland cattle in Perth and attracted the top price of 2300gns.

This came when Jock of Moncrieffe was offered by Mrs M Park, Shotts, Lanarkshire. This 1991-bred red son of Jock of Cullerne was bought by Ian Graham, Paisley who accounted for several of the most sought after stock.

Another good price for an older bull came when 2000gns was called by Aberdeenshire breeder Mr Mitchell to secure the 1992-bred black sire MacDonald Dubh of Na Comerich consigned by C D J Jolly, Lawers, Aberfeldy.

There were two 2000gns transactions during the dispersal of the Cameron Loch Lomond fold for the late P Telfer Smollett and Mrs G M A Telfer Smollett.
