Government lists non-GM soya companies

THE Government has published the names of 48 growers and suppliers of
organically-grown soya beans in a bid to offer consumers greater choice following the widespread use of genetically-modified soya.

It is designed to help smaller UK food producers find alternatives to
genetically modified (GM) soya.

The Government said it could not guarantee the accuracy of its list which it
said had been drawn up in good faith with the help of the Americans and Canadians.
