Granular gains in the additive area

GRANULAR silage additives Regulator and Regulator Live avoid the problem of wind blown losses during application, and blockages and bridging in applicator hoppers, says manufacturer Thomas and Fontaine.

The granules have UKASTA approval for reducing aerobic spoilage, improving fermentation and enhancing animal performance of grass, maize and whole crop cereal silages, according to the company.

Suitable for use through most types of additive application machinery, application rate is 250g/t of silage, and cost is about £1.30/t silage treated. (01588-680661)
