Grazing sheep ‘good for conservation’
SHEEP grazing can do more good than harm to flowers and wildlife, according to a decade-long study on Orkney supported by Scottish Natural Heritage.
The conservationists found carefully managed and timed sheep grazing could create a countryside that was “productive for both wildlife and livestock”.
Sheep grazing is often considered destructive and damaging to conservation interests.
