Hot property for sale in Cotswold

A COTSWOLD arable farm in a part of Oxfordshire where properties rarely come up for sale is due to be launched this week.

Rynehill Farm at Kingham, near the Glous border, runs to almost 600 acres and is valued at £2.75m by Clive Hopkins of selling agent Knight Frank. The chartered surveyor is lotting the offering five ways but says it is by no means certain that the farm will be split.

"It was primarily done to identify value," says Mr Hopkins with an eye to getting the best price for his client. "Rynehill is not clearly a residential or a purely agricultural property so I am not sure who the buyer will be." But farmers could be interested in the 560 acres of IACS-registered land and an 850t grain store with under-floor drying.

Buyers on the lookout for a good Cotswold house might also be tempted. The attractive six- bedroomed farmhouse with three cottages (one with an agricultural tie) and 40 acres of land is guided at £1.5m. The predominantly Grade 3 loamy soils are tagged at £2200/acre. &#42
