How a WAPcan zap paperwork
FARMERS can now send details of cattle distant from the farm to a central database using a WAP mobile phone, via Braidgrove.coms Elite Traceability software, says the company.
The software can be used for all statutory record-keeping and BCMS notifications. The company says using WAP phones is a simple and cheap way to reduce paperwork.
Charges for using the software package vary depending on numbers of cows entered. A load-up charge for the first year costs £75 for less than 20 cows, £125 for 20-100 cows and £175 for more than 100 cows. Annual subscription is £50 for less than 20 cows, £100 for 20-100 cows and £150 for more than 100 cows (01349-892001, fax 01349-880201).
