How to gain complete fogging control

THE increasing popularity of fogging in piggeries has led Farmex to develop a new control system for foggers.

The unit can be operated on both a time and temperature basis and has a range of programs which can control up to eight separate rooms or zones to allow for different needs in varying areas of a unit, according to the manufacturer.

"Fogging needs only a small amount of water to relieve stress and maintain growth rates in warm weather," says Farmexs Hugh Crabtree.

"But using rough and ready controls can lead to huge run-offs into slurry pits."
