Iceland pledge on GM feed
SUPERMARKET chain Iceland has announced that by the end of September all its animal products will come from livestock reared on non-genetically modified diets.
It said this warning is aimed at US farmers considering their spring crops.
The chain said growers should realise they may face problems selling GM animal feed to British customers.
Iceland led the field two years ago by removing GM ingredients from own-brand produce.
