Kevlar drive belts strong alternative

A NEW range of drive belts designed to be capable of replacing old-fashioned chain and gear drives – as well as synchronous and Vee-belts – has been introduced by Dayco Europe.

Marketed under the trade name of RPP Panther, the new belts are claimed to exploit the companys RPP design concept and take advantage of the technical properties of Kevlar brand fibre from DuPont.

When compared with more usual drives, the RPP Panther belt is said to be superior in terms of operating flexibility and efficiency, resistance to heat, reduction of drive noise and low maintenance needs.

Belts come in a full range of 8mm and 14mm pitch sizes (0039 871-579707).
