KW ups price in line with fishmeal rise
By FWi Staff
AS fishmeal prices continue to increase steadily through the summer, KW have upped their price in line with other suppliers.
This week saw a rise of 23/t to 398/t. “We buy in batches – the new load we had in recently meant that we had to catch up with prices else where in the market,” says David Clarke of KW Alternative Feeds.
“Also at this time of year there are fishing bans in the main producing countries like Peru and Chile, which will have a slight influence on prices.”
Elsewhere there is little movement, with soya continuing to look easier.
“Farmers should be on amber alert to buy soya, as we will start to see more opportunities through August,” says Ian Tremain of Mole Valley Feeds.
