Latest AEA figures could herald start of predicted slump
IS the long predicted fall in tractor sales about to happen?
Latest figures released by the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) reveal sales for the first two months of this year were significantly down on 1996.
January saw a slump in sales of 8.3% and February 10.4% – to produce an overall deficit of 9.3% for the year to date, when compared with the same period last year.
To put some figures on it, 1290 tractors over 40hp were registered in January and 1260 in February. *
