Lemken launches bed former and cultivator

BED forming up to 3.5m (11.5ft) wide is possible, says Lemken Tri-ag with its latest Howard two-row bed former, the HR50/350.

A wider alternative to the firms existing HR40/180 model, the HR50/350 produces one complete bed and two half beds in a single pass, completing a half bed on the next pass.

Based on the Howard Rotavator, the machine is fitted with a hydraulic auto-reset system on its ridger bodies, and is said to be suitable for tractors up to 180hp. Price is £12,350.

In terms of low-cost, seed-bed preparation on light soils, Lemken Tri-ag has also introduced two additional versions of its Terratine cultivator, designated K and L.

Both differ from previous models by using 1.5m (4.9ft) wide cultivator sections suspended on spring steel arms, allowing field contours to be followed.

Compact in length, the Terratine K model uses a combination of levelling bars, three rows of spring tines (or optionally two rows with duck-foot shares) and a choice of rear crumbler roller.

Terratine L models have a longer main frame which results in additional rows of tines being fitted. Terratine L also uses tandem rear rollers with notched crumblers.

Common to both models is a range of working widths from 3-9m (10-29ft) and a horsepower requirement from 95-250hp. Prices start at £2535. &#42

Latest versions of Lemken Tri-ags Terratine cultivators use suspended 1.5m wide cultivator sections, which follow ground contours.
