Lleyn breeders not unhappy
LLEYN sheep breeders were satisfied with the trade for the 2700 on offer at the breed societys first sale of the season at Gaerwen, Anglesey.
And a top price of 1950gns was paid for a ram from Peter Basley, Radcliffe-on-Trent, Notts.
Highest price paid for ewes was £175 apiece for a pen of eight from C P and * Sackville, Acklam, Cleveland while the leading bid for a pen of five ewe lambs was £90 for entries from the flock of J Lewis, Chirk, North Wales. (Morgan Evans and Co)
