Lonk strengths

A STRONG show of Lonk sheep produced a top price of 5000gns when breeders gathered for their annual show and sale at Clitheroe, Lancs.

The Lonk is a native of the moors of Lancashire and the Yorkshire Pennines. The top price was paid for a shearling tup from noted breeder John Pickard, Blackburn. Buyer was R Lister, Clitheroe. (Clitheroe Auction Mart)n
