DEERE & Company has reached an agreement to buy Douven, the Dutch company which manufactures a range of moun-ted, trailed and self-propelledsprayers.

The acquisition is designed to conform to Deeres policy of providing a full line for its European customers. It will be recalled Deere already owns Kemper and currently markets Matbro telehandlers under a badge-engineering agreement.

John Deere acquires Dutch Sprayer manufacturer, Douven. Company products include a self-propelled sprayer based on the Deere-engined Clayton C-Trac – this 155hp hydraulic drive model was unveiled at the recent Agritechnica event in Germany.
