Low-cost net wrap
A CHEAP net wrap for silage bales has been introduced by BP Chemicals.
Rondosil differs from the firms Rondotex net wrap in that it has a lower level of UVI stabilisation to protect it from the effects of sunlight, hence the 5% lower price.
Lack of UVI stabilisation limits the use of new product to bales destined to be wrapped or bagged. As for the existing Rondotex net wrap, BP Chemicals has added an extra wide version, the Rondotex 130, which is 7cm (2.8in) wider than standard. Small as it appears, this extra width is claimed to provide a better bale edge coverage.
Rondotex 130 can be used with Welger RP120, 200 and 400, New Holland 544 and Greenland/Deutz Fahr MP130 round balers. *
