Mains electricity – but no generator?

GET mains electricity from your vehicle without using a generator, says Merlin Equipment, with its TSi500 sine-wave converter.

The unit converts 12 or 24V DC battery power to 230V AC mains electricity, to continuously provide 500W of power, peaking at 1.5kW.

Merlin says the converter is suitable for electrical equipment with high surge requirements such as power tools and motors.

Bar graphs monitor battery voltage and indicate how much current is being drawn. The Merlin TSi500 costs £465 (01491-824333).
