Maintenance and repair plan for JD combines

JOHN Deere has announced a repair and maintenance service for its combine harvester range – a range which includes the CWS, WTS, CTS and STS models.

PowerGard, which can provide cover for two to five seasons – with hours unlimited – is designed to provide ease of mind and enable farmers and contractors to budget running costs more precisely.

John Deere says the plan is more than just an extended warranty. Repair covers any failure which is not an insurable risk or caused by the operator – accident abuse, neglect, overload, wear and failure caused by intake of non-crop material, for example.

The maker says all parts of the combine are covered except those having high wear rates. These are defined in the contract.

Included is a 100 hour first service and an inspection and services at the end of each working season providing 10 hours labour.

Price of the PowerGard Repair and Maintenance plan can be included in the finance agreement when a new combine is bought. John Deere is currently offering free one-year cover for all of its combines ordered for this years harvest. &#42
