Malaysia to quit rubber agreement

MALAYSIA confirmed it was planning to withdraw from the International Natural Rubber Organisation.

It said it would make an announcement about withdrawal at a meeting of the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) in Bangkok on 21-21 August.

Malaysia contributes 20% of the budget of INRO, an association of 16 natural rubber producing and consuming countries.
