Matadors see red over BSE cash

MATADORS have demanded compensation from loss of revenue from halted sales of vanquished bulls to butchers, reports The Independent.

The industry has proposed not to sell any bulls killed in the arena for butchers meat this year, and agreed to destroy parts at risk of BSE infection.

But in return, bullfighters, breeders and vets are demanding 240 per bull, a sum which could reach 10m.
