Milk Marque opts for monthly bonus

FARMERS will receive no extra payment for their milk despite the success of Milk Marques August selling round.
But the farmer-owned co-op will be offering its members a “trading bonus” to be paid with their monthly milk cheque. “The standing payment of 18.2ppl will remain the same,” said Jonathan Horrell of Milk Marque.
“However, we will now be paying a monthly bonus that will go to all our members. So far we have sold enough to declare returns to farmers, although we still have milk to market. At present the bonus is not expected to be as much as 0.5ppl.”
The new bonus will be declared every month and will be paid to each member on a constituent value of their milk.
