Minmar 408 backers named

THE mystery companies behind Minmar 408, which bought the failed Lockerbie Meat Packers last month, have been disclosed.

One of them is ANM Group, a co-operative with more than 8,000 farmer members. The others include directors from Kepak, Brackley, ABP meat company, Invicta Lamb, Edward Hammer International and Avonmore Meats.

Meanwhile, offers close on Tuesday afternoon for Biggar Quality Meats, another failed meat firm.
